FREE Passport for Fun Travel Play

A fabulous way to learn about a country, is to pretend to travel there! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could easily and cheaply hop onto a plane to any country we wanted to, anytime? For most of us, that isn’t possible.

The next best thing is to virtual travel, or to use stories and the internet, plus your imagination, to bring the experience to life.

These days, it’s very easy to find footage online about any country, and to see and hear what the people who live there look and sound like. CASE OF ADVENTURE Country Studies are presented as paperback books or podcasts (FREE mini studies) complete with activity pack and lapbook, so that your children can experience the country through the story they hear.

We love to pretend to travel to a country. We go all out to make the experience come to life for our kids. That starts with each child having their own personal passport. We pack for the journey, label our luggage, gather everything and head to the ‘airport’ where we check our baggage, go through security and hop on our ‘airplane’.

We watch a video of the take-off, eat a meal on the plane, learn about airplane safety and about the country we will be visiting. The airplane captain and air stewards (Dad and Mom) serve us on the airplane. Later we arrive at our destination, get a stamp in our passports and head to our ‘hotel’ where we unpack, have a meal in a ‘restaurant’ and set off to tour the city (online and in books).

To prepare the passport, choose either the full color or the print-friendly passport (which can be printed on any color of cardstock). You will need to print one passport per child. Remember that your children can use their passports over and over again in your future ‘travels’. It’s a tangible way for your children to look back on all the places they have travelled to.

Print a photo of your child’s face and stick it into their passport and then with their help, fill in their personal information on the first page. Stick in a passport stamp when they arrive at their destination.

Happy travels!
