Details about the England Adventure Book

Are you ready for your adventure in England? This ancient country has at some time conquered most of the large countries in the world. British people have a unique way of speaking, eating, and of living. They love to drink tea and to celebrate life with much pomp and ceremony. Join the Gray children and their new friend Edward as they help prevent the sabotage of the BBC and protect the monarchy. Grab your passport and let’s roll!

In this adventure book, your kids will learn about the country, the landmarks, famous people, the culture, the festivals, the cuisine, the currency, and all kinds of other amazing things. There’s a project page where they can stick their mini books, such as Uniforms in Britain, or Transport in England. They’ll learn about the English flag and the difference between the flag of the United Kingdom and the flag of England.

They’ll learn about conversation and slang in England, about the English language,  and about the history of some of the kings and queens, as well as Trafalgar Square and St. Paul’s Cathedral. They’ll solve clue cards using secret codes from your Discovery Agent Fun Pack that comes along with your order. They’ll get to learn about Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Winston Churchill and Sherlock Holmes too!

There’s a map showing detailed places in England, and one for your kids to fill in as well. There are jokes, conversation starters, and fun facts about England, like ‘it’s illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament wearing a suit of armor.’

They’ll also learn the national anthem, ‘God Save the King’. There are items to cut out and paste, like map markers to put on your map as you travel through the country, and there are stickers and passport stamps for your kids’ passports.

You’ll end your study of England with a celebratory English meal where your kids will use the recipes in the book and talk about all they’ve learned. There are some lovely food flags that you can make and use for decorating your England meal!

At the back of England Adventure, you’ll find the instructions pages, which tell you how to work through the book.

England Adventure is designed for your kids to read and work through over 5 days (consecutive or otherwise – your choice). 1-2 hours per day.

You’ll also receive FREE DIGITAL COPIES OF the ACTIVITY PAGES to print for other children in your family; and the Discovery Agent Fun pack with your secret codes for solving clues, passport and more.

Fun and Food!

“Hi, my name’s Eddie! I’m a proud British citizen. I can’t wait to show you around my country. I’ve seen other places on the telly but have not traveled much. I’ve been to Scotland and Wales, but someday I plan to travel the whole world!

The capital of our country is London, our currency is the Pound Sterling, and our monarch is King Charles. We also have a Prime Minister who’s in charge of the British Parliament. It turns out that there are only 22 countries in the world that the British haven’t invaded at one time or another–so we’re a pretty fierce nation! The British are always on time, being late is considered odd, or even rude. If you’re going to be late to something, you should let people know.

We love to drink tea here in England and we have it multiple times a day! We also have lots of pubs. These are places that serve meals and snacks as well as drinks and often have a warm cozy fireplace and a large-screen tele for watching sports games.

Details about the Undercover Enterprise in England Novel.
Book 3 in the CASE OF ADVENTURE Travel Series

Join Ren, Rome, Jake, Libby and Tiffany in Undercover Enterprise in England as they attempt to discover who is trying to sabotage the entire BBC network and why?

Computer hackers, filming of important events, and even an audience with the queen, it’s a wild ride and one that you won’t want to miss! “I stared out the window of the London Bus, at the famous Westminster Abbey that I had seen on TV in the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate. It was so majestic with all those arches and spires on top. It made me feel quite poetic! I thought about the words of our great friend, Iain Wemyss, whom we had helped to solve a mystery in Scotland.”

“I received a call from an old friend of mine who is CEO of a large company in England and who has been receiving threats of sabotage. He is in desperate need of my help. Iain had asked us to join him in England as undercover investigators. We would be posing as tourists and summer interns at the British Broadcasting Corporation headquarters in London. The famous BBC! How awesome is that? The Director General of the BBC, Mr. Garth Howard, was Iain’s longtime friend. They had studied together at Cambridge University. Mr. Howard had asked Iain for help as he had been receiving anonymous letters threatening to sabotage the BBC network. Our job was to discover who the saboteur was and to stop him. It was a tall order, but we were always up for a challenge.”

Join the Gray children and their new friend Edward as they help prevent the sabotage of the BBC and protect the monarchy!
